The glass
Schott Robax is a ceramic glass manufactured by Schott AG in Germany. It's the industry-standard material for stove doors — heat rated to 760°C, transparent, and tough. It's what most stove manufacturers use as original equipment.
Yes. We only supply genuine Schott Robax glass, not a cheaper ceramic substitute. Every piece we cut comes from certified Robax stock.
We supply 4mm Schott Robax, which is the standard thickness for the vast majority of wood burning and multi-fuel stoves.
At the moment we only cut rectangular pieces. If you need a shaped piece, get in touch and we'll let you know if we can help.
Sizing & measuring
Measure the opening inside your stove door frame (the rebate), then deduct 3–5mm from both the width and height to allow for heat expansion. See our full Measurement Guide for step-by-step instructions.
We can cut glass from 50 × 50mm up to 600 × 900mm. If you need something outside these dimensions, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
Yes — drop us an email with your stove make and model and we'll advise on the correct glass size. Most stove manufacturers publish their glass dimensions and we're happy to look it up for you.
Pricing & ordering
We charge £600 per square metre (£0.06 per cm²). The price is calculated automatically when you enter your dimensions on the product page. A minimum order charge of £20 applies.
Yes — free standard UK delivery on all orders over £50. Orders under £50 have a small delivery charge which is calculated at checkout.
Delivery & returns
We cut and dispatch within 1–3 working days. UK delivery typically takes a further 1–3 working days after dispatch. You'll receive a dispatch notification by email.
Every piece is wrapped in protective foam and reinforced card with corner protectors. We pack to survive the courier, not just a careful delivery.
Because every piece is custom cut to your dimensions, we're unable to accept returns unless the glass arrives damaged or we've cut it to the wrong size. Please double-check your measurements before ordering. If you receive a damaged or incorrect piece, contact us within 48 hours and we'll sort it out.
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage. We'll send a replacement cut at no charge.
